Aspen Ladd began her journey in combat sports at the teenager age. Aspen Ladd was trained in BJJ, kickboxing, wrestling and boxing before her first appearance as an amateur at WCFC aged 18. Ladd built on this victory and continued her three-fight winning streak at Ultimate Reno Combat finishing her opponents in the opening round of each fight. After that, she went to WCFC and beat Leslie Rodriguez via unanimous decision. Aspen took on Silvia Babaeghian, Maddy Simmons and Cynthia Calvillo prior to facing Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9 Cynthia was superior to Aspen, and beat her by unanimous vote. Cynthia's records as an amateur were destroyed. Ladd recovered from the loss, and defeated Roma Pawelek at Tuff-N-Uff to increase her record to 8-1. Aspen made her professional debut in 2015, and was signed by Invicta FC to make her professional debut. Invicta Fc 11, she defeated Ana Carolina Vidal and won her fight in the opening round with a TKO. Invicta Fc16 was Aspen's first fight as a bantamweight. She defeated Amanda Cooper with an armbar submission at the end of the second round. Aspen took on McGill through her grappling to finish her off with the third round via TKO. Aspen later fought Jessica Hoy in Invicta FC 18, weighing weight catchweight (138.1lb) due to the fact that Ladd was unable to reach her weight. Despite this, Aspen was able to beat Hoy. The fight was won with a TKO after the second round. At Invicta FC 21, she had her final fight for the company. Invicta FC21, she defeated Sijara Banks with a majority decision. Her UFC debut came at UFC Fight Night 118 in which she fought Lina Lansberg. She dominated Lina as she pound her down to pick up a second-round TKO victory. She came back to her winning ways with a stunning victory in her subsequent fight against Tonya Evinger at UFC 229. Ladd finished Evinger in the first round and earned the night's prize. She fought her first big fight in her debut fight at the UFC Fight Night dos Anjos Avs. Lee rematch against Sijara Ebanks. They fought in one of the most competitive fights that Ladd was victorious by a majority decision. Both fighters earned an award called the Fight of the Night Bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie defeated Ladd within just 16 seconds, which was enough and ended her win streak. She bounced back, and defeated Yana Kunitskaya in the third round at UFC on ESPN 7. She was replaced by defeated Norma Dumont in her most recent UFC fight. The fight ended in an unanimous decision.
